The Municipal Affairs Committee in Oman’s Seeb province held its first meeting for 2020, chaired by the Governer of Seeb, HE Sheikh Ibrahim bin Yahya Al-Rawahi.
The committee deliberated its plans for the year ahead, detailing the needs of residential and commercial neighbourhoods in the area, the state-run Oman News Agency said in an Arabic statement.
During the meeting, the municipal committee discussed the possibility of re-planning the buildings near the Central Seeb Market, as well as and changing the names of certain buildings and residential neighbourhoods in the province.
In addition, the committee also discussed plans to implement key service and development projects in the region, including the paving of roads; improving lighting in residential and commercial areas; and beautifying public utilities in 2020.
The meeting also welcomed a report from Bee'ah on the company's tasks and workflow regarding transporting waste from residential and commercial districts in the region.
